Chinchilla skins are valuable because they are very soft and gentle, for manufacturing a fur jackets are required about 60 chinchilla skins and about 100-130 for a long fur coat.

To get a good quality animal skins you shpuld slaughter them when its are 8-9 months old, when the skin is mature. When fur is mature color is white or cream.

Chinchilla skins classification

To sort the chinchilla skins from our production, we use the classical method known to all the following criteria sorting:

• size
• color
• quality

Size of chinchilla skins - skin size is established by measuring from the tip of the snout to the base of the tail.

Quality of chinchilla skins

• Select: high quality and extremely thick, pure white and clear
• First Class: as color classes it is classified by clarity very good, clear sound, medium clarity fur is thick and without any fault
• Second Class: as color classes it is classified by clarity very good, clear sound, medium clarity with small uneven areas, some spots, being admit some defects.
• M Class: medium quality, with small portions of damaged and slight lack of color, a little uneven.
• I Class: lower quality, higher damage, outdated parts with no color
• Low grades: can be used only pieces of it

To have a clearer classification of fur in First Class and Second Class class, we have made color classes: very good clarity, good clarity, clearly mean to make selection very white fur and blue compared to natural ones.
